Anchored in Presence

Dance your way back to your true nature

We were born present

As young children we were fully in our bodies and in the moment. When we were sad, we cried; when we were happy, we laughed; when we were tired, we fell asleep; and we saw the world as our playground.

So when did we lose our presence? Very early we learned that showing what we really feel is not always safe. We got hurt; some feelings were too painful to feel, and slowly we learned to numb, manipulate, control and suppress our emotions. This is the movement from presence to absence.

What we learned as children in order to survive became our personality, and as adults we still use the same coping strategies. Always trying to feel better, to be on top of things, to show only our good mood, all this costs a lot of energy.

When we allow ourselves to feel again, this effort is released, and instead comes more energy, more vitality, more authenticity and more presence.

Being present means being with whatever shows up in me, whatever is alive in me, because it matters and it is asking to be felt. When I get triggered, when pain shows up in my body or in my emotions, or when my mind starts to sabotage me, I am getting a visit from the past. This visit is asking for my presence, asking me to be with it and to feel what needs to be felt.

Through this process, you may experience

  • More energy, vitality and lightness, as the effort of holding back is released
  • A deeper connection to your body, your emotions and your thoughts
  • Recognising when you leave the present moment, and how to come back
  • Meeting what is alive in you with more kindness and less fear
  • More joy, authenticity and presence in your everyday life

Presence in three bodies

Being present is not only an idea in the mind. It is something we feel and live, in all of who we are.

During the weekend, we will explore the three bodies:

The Physical Body
Our sensations, our breath, our movement. The ground we stand on and the life that moves through us.

The Emotional Body
Our feelings, the ones we welcome and the ones we learned to hide. Each of them asking to be felt.

The Mental Body
Our thoughts, stories and beliefs. Learning to notice when the mind takes us away from the present moment, into the past or the future.

As we move with all three, they slowly come back together, and we become anchored in presence.

During the weekend we will:

  • Dance and move to come back into the body, guided by carefully chosen music
  • Use embodiment practices to feel what is alive in us, moment by moment
  • Explore through writing and inquiry what keeps us away from presence
  • Recognise the coping strategies we learned as children, and how they still live in us today
  • Practice staying with what shows up, instead of running away from it

This Workshop is for You If You:

  • Sometimes feel stuck in your head and in your stories
  • Are ready to make a new agreement between your body, your mind and your heart
  • Notice how much energy it costs you to always be okay, on top of things, in a good mood
  • Want to feel more alive, more real and more present in your life
  • Love dancing and want to use dance to arrive in yourself, rather than to escape

This Workshop is also ideal for:

  • People who work with their body, like dancers, movement teachers, yoga teachers and bodyworkers, who want to deepen their practice
  • People who want to bring more embodiment and presence into their work, like therapists, coaches, teachers and healthcare professionals
  • Artists and creative people, who want to create from a more present and authentic place

"Thank you for this wonderful workshop. I’m so glad I joined at the last minute. I especially loved dancing to your music, which you carefully chose to guide us through the seven requests and the emotional moments of the workshop."

  • Claudia Schneeweis-Haas

    The Wounded Healer 2024

"This weekend was a gift—for me personally, my soul, my being, and beyond. Such a deep understanding of life—what Idan creates here is magical.
He offers me a safe space to BE, to feel, to perceive, to recognise, to cry, to laugh, to be wild, and to find clarity."

  • Elisabeth Henzl

    Transformation 2024

"I felt connected to my inner world, my wisdom stored in my body. The whole day was like a long journey through my personality, limiting beliefs, dreams, and intentions, and I know that I want to learn to love deeper and live with more ease and happiness."

About Idan Meir and his approach

Idan Meir weaves embodied movement, conscious dance, and therapeutic practices into a grounded and sensitive approach to self-discovery, growth, and emotional integration.

His work is rooted in the body as a source of wisdom.
Rather than fixing or pushing, he supports people in slowing down, listening, and reconnecting with their physical and emotional intelligence, creating a safe and inspiring space to meet themselves honestly.

The journey is guided through:

  • embodied presence and attunement to sensations and emotions
  • dance as a universal language for expression, integration, and healing
  • a balance of structure and freedom, including guided prompts, reflection, and free dance
  • writing and inquiry, to explore what keeps us from being present
  • carefully curated music that supports both dynamic exploration and quiet listening

Idan’s approach invites depth without pressure -
supporting each person to move at their own pace and remember who they already are.

A Personal Invitation From Idan

"I decided to create this weekend workshop to share one of my deepest loves in the work I do. It is inspired by Michael Brown's The Presence Process, which brought a profound change to my life as a father, as a partner, and as a facilitator.

I have completed his process three times already, and in the middle of the fourth time I realised that this is exactly the moment to share it with you.

So I created this weekend to bring together the essence of Michael Brown's work, as I understand it, with the essence of my conscious dance practice, movement, inquiry, and other embodiment tools.

May this weekend activate the natural process of becoming more present with yourself and in your body, more gentle with your heart, and kinder with your inner talk. And may it deepen your connection to presence, the presence we all share and are all part of.

For me, this is what Collective Transformation is about."

Warmly,
Idan Meir
